Free Kids Classes for Inner City East Kids, Tues-Thurs 6-13yrs

Kids have loads of opportunities to explore and deepen their art skills. We run free after school classes for 6-13 year olds who live in the Inner City East (see kids page for suburbs), and kids love our Free Art Saturday classes, which is a great activity for the whole family. Kids can join many of our other classes as long as they're accompanied by a caregiver and there's no age restriction stated.

Click on images for more details about each class and see the timetable below for the full range of classes.

Please note that we don’t offer any classes that are suitable to bring children under 6 years old. Some classes are suitable for children aged 6-13 but they must be accompanied by a caregiver (except the free kids classes which do not require this). Please check the specific class you’re interested in before bringing children.

We can thank the Ministry for Culture and Heritage for the funding for these classes. While they are designed to nurture your creativity, they’re also about building connections in your community and making you feel included. In this way, development is at the heart of everything we do. Our classes focus on community development via participation in our three creative spaces, while the exhibition programme in Eastside Gallery and the Mini Gallery is committed to artist development for local artists.

Come along and get involved, we’d love to see you!
